TYIN tegnestue Architects designed the Safe Haven Bathhouse in Ban Tha Song Yang, Thailand, to improve sanitary conditions for children at an orphanage. Completed in 2009 with a budget of $3,800, the bathhouse features:

Design Elements: A central open bathing area with slanting bamboo facades that provide privacy while allowing ventilation. The toilets are discreetly located behind concrete walls at each end.
